Metallic epoxy flooring is a multi-layer resinous coating applied over the top of existing concrete. Epoxy is composed of a resin and a hardener that chemically combine and harden to create a strong, moisture proof coat that protects your concrete from damage.

Epoxy flooring acts as a protective layer over your concrete. In terms of pounds per square inch, epoxy flooring systems are two to three times stronger than regular concrete, so they can hold a lot more pressure. Metallic epoxy is also scratch resistant. If you have heavy machinery or a lot of foot traffic, metallic epoxy floors are a great solution.
Metallic epoxy floors are very easy to maintain, and there aren’t any cracks or crevices for dirt and grime to hide in. Daily sweeping is recommended, and you should mop with warm water or a mild detergent as needed. You do not need to scrub hard or spend extra money on expensive cleaning processes.
Metallic epoxy seals the concrete from chemicals and stains that would normally seep into its pores. When a spill happens, all you need to do is wipe it up.
Metallic epoxy floors offer a smooth, glassy finish, but this finish is actually slip-resistant, too. A seamless epoxy coat eliminates cracks that may cause tripping hazards, and any existing cracks will be also repaired prior to applying the new layer.
While the elements can easily destroy uncoated concrete, metallic epoxy floors are protected. The freeze-thaw cycle and water damage are the most common causes for cracking. Epoxy creates a moisture-proof barrier. Our products are also UV-resistant to prevent deterioration caused by the sun.
We start by grinding the concrete. This preparation not only helps the epoxy coat to adhere to the concrete, but it also rids the surface of oils, stains, and other contaminants, allowing the epoxy layer to adhere better. We repair any cracks, chips, or damage in the concrete prior to coating.
Then, we’ll apply a resinous primer. This coat provides the best surface for the metallic epoxy to bond to.
After the primer dries, we apply multiple metallic-pigmented layers. You choose the color!
Lastly, we finish the job with a protective top coat. This final layer provides the extra shine and protection. It’s important to allow your floor to cure for a couple of days before resuming use.
